Not every guitar I build starts with a commission. From time to time, I build guitars independently. I allow an idea, a set of materials, or a historical influence to guide the work. I follow that process as it develops at the bench. The instruments in this collection come directly from that approach. I build them on spec and offer them only when they are ready.

This way of working gives me a different kind of freedom. I make design decisions without a fixed brief. My commissioned guitars usually involve a 6–8 month lead time. These guitars do not. I build them in advance. When one is in stock, I complete a final inspection. I perform a full professional setup. I then ship the guitar immediately. I prepare it with the same care I apply to instruments from makers and luthiers I trust.

I never treat these guitars as experiments or placeholders. I build every Marfione Guitar on spec for real musical use. I voice each instrument carefully. I adjust the setup by hand. I also remain available to help a player decide whether a guitar fits their hands, technique, and musical direction.
